Be in prayer and discernment as we look toward our special contribution on April 2. This will be our “Local Mission Sunday” giving. All our contributions will go toward local mission efforts. We have traditionally had a special collection on Mission Sunday in September. This year, we are dividing that into two: Local Mission Sunday in the Spring and Global Mission Sunday in the Fall.
On April 2, we will focus on what happens in this city, including our traditional mission efforts—Local Outreach, Loaves and Fishes, and the S.A.F.E. ministry (adoption and foster care)—which are already fully funded for 2023, so new funding for these ministries will carry them through 2024. In addition, we will add, beginning this year, support for new programs such as GriefShare, our Special Needs Ministry, and new outreach efforts in the Children’s and Youth ministries.
If we reach $100,000, all of those vital ministries will be fully supported. If we are able to raise $150,000, we will be able to add a new Associate Youth Minister, which will expand our current youth efforts as well as allowing us to add a new focus on college-age and young adults.
God is blessing us mightily. May we respond with gratitude and generosity.
