Many years ago our recently deceased, beloved brother, Jack White decided to have a few friends over and grill some meat. That simple act of fellowship spawned a tradition that continues to this day. Nearly every year since then, an ever increasing group of guys (numbers and girth) have gathered about once per year to eat some ribs and/or brisket. Many of you have attended over the years and know that we have just relied on word of mouth to spread the details of the event. This year we are going to formalize the event in honor of Jack White.
The Jack White Memorial Men’s BBQ will be held on April 29 from 6:30 p.m. until whenever. It will feature ribs by Bob Frolichstein, brisket by Jim Bruner and sauce by Wayne Alsup. We will talk, laugh and just hang out and eat meat. Great opportunity to invite your neighbor and show them “we christians” are pretty normal people.
A few “rules” have been established for this event and maybe they are a little politically incorrect but:
—No Women
—No Children
—No Salads
—All sides must include bacon as an ingredient (don’t worry if you don’t want to bring something—it’s about the meat)
—BYO Soft Drinks
