The Nature of Leadership | Bruce Utley

When we consider leadership in God’s church, it is natural to take our common understanding of effective leadership in the world and then transfer it wholesale into the kingdom of God. We therefore look for those who have been successful in business pursuits and then assume that their skills will be easily adapted to a church setting. Yet Jesus cautions us away from that very path, even employing the warning, “Not so with you.” In this lesson from Sunday, March 20, taught by Bruce Utley, we will look at the distinctively unique nature of leadership in God’s kingdom and discover that it is profoundly different from what we might imagine.
